Monster Cereal Taste-Off!

COUNTDOWN TO HALLOWEEN 2012
DAY 29 - 2 DAYS TILL HALLOWEEN
I've got my milk... I've got my spoon...  Gimme some cereal!
Monster Cereal Taste-Off!
I was pretty excited when I was grocery shopping the other day and saw some Monster Cereal for sale, just in time for Halloween.  "Yes!," I Thought to myself, "I love that stuff!"

Or do I?  Because now that I think of it, I don't remember eating it much when I was a kid.  It was always only available for a limited time around Halloween, and we hardly ever bought it.  I know I had it a few times, though, but I don't remember what it tasted like.  But that's good, that means I can evaluate the taste for what it is, and not have to compare it to my childhood memories, which would probably make it out to be better than it really was.

Monster Cereal Review:
First off, I'd like to talk about the box art.  Honestly it's pretty lame.  They really should go with something more retro, the old boxes were more fun.  These new ones look kind of generic, and the characters are done in the same color as the backgrounds, so they don't "pop" they way they should.  The new boxes have a comic on the back, which is a nice touch, but it's the same comic on all three boxes.  It would have been cooler if they had an individual one for each character.
Monster Cereal: Then and Now

They also gave Boo Berry a bizarro "skin flap" inside his mouth.  Apparently the "artist" who copied this from a previous design did not understand what he or she was looking at, and thought the side of his cheek was a flap of skin in his mouth. And apparently, this has been like this for at least TWO YEARS, as I found a post on BoingBoing about it from 2010, and nobody at General Mills has noticed or fixed it.  Or more likely, they just don't care.  If they did, they probably wouldn't have such crappy art on their cereal boxes to begin with.
Boo Berry's Skin Flap

Of course, the main reason to buy cereal is not to look at the art on the box, it's to eat it.  So how do they taste?

Franken Berry

Franken Berry
It kind of tastes like strawberries, but overall the flavor was pretty weak.  The cereal didn't get soggy, but it was somewhat soft, not very crunchy.  Overall, I'm unimpressed.

Boo Berry

Boo Berry
This seemed a touch sweeter than the Franken Berry, but with only a vaguely berry-like flavor.  It reminds me of Cap'n Crunch Crunchberries a little bit, but not nearly as tasty.  The same texture as the Franken Berry.  Another dud.

Count Chocula
Count Chocula
This has the same, bland texture as the other two cereals.  The flavor is a little better, it tastes mildly chocolatey.  But my favorite part of the cereal was drinking the milk that was left over in the bowl, which had a hint of chocolate milk flavor to it.  This was my favorite of the three cereals, but I didn't actually like it.

Bottom Line
I won't have to buy this stuff again next year, as these same three boxes will probably still be sitting on my shelf, as I have no plans on eating any more of this stuff.

Rating: 0.5 Robots (out of 5)
Ratings
Franken Berry: 0 Robots
Boo Berry: 0 Robots
Count Chocula: 1 Robot
Overall: 0.5 Robots (out of 5)

My Top 10 Countdown to Halloween Posts From Previous Years

THE GHOST OF HALLOWEEN PAST
My Top 10 Countdown to Halloween Posts From Previous Years

I only have one day off from work this week, which is cutting in to my blogging time.  In order to get back on track for the rest of the week (I need to do three more monster toy photo shoots, plus watch and write about a handful of movies, and then put them all together into a bunch of blog posts) I'm going to be looking back at my most popular posts from previous Countdown to Halloweens.  After this, it should be all-new toy and movie reviews through the rest of October.  But for now, allow me to introduce... THE GHOST OF HALLOWEEN PAST!

10. Planet of the Vampires (1965)
http://misfitdaydream.blogspot.com/search?q=planet+of+the+vampires
The Living Dead...In Space!
Horror and sci-fi are two great tastes that taste great together.  Like the Reese's Peanut Butter Cups candy that I stole that line from, Planet of the Vampires tastes delicious, even if it is full of empty calories. The plot of the film is a weird mishmash of sci-fi and horror that is pretty much just an excuse to throw together a variety of elements like aliens, ghosts, spaceships, reanimated corpses, fistfights, laser battles, and mild amounts of blood and gore, all into one movie, with a corny "twist" ending to top it all off.  The story doesn't amount to much, but it all looks fantastic, filmed by Mario Bava with hypersaturated color in a 1960s pop art comic book style.  There's not much depth to this movie at all, it's pretty much all on the surface, but the surface elements are so much fun that it's still worth the trip.

9. Monster Cereal Taste-Off!
http://misfitdaydream.blogspot.com/search?q=monster+cereal

Speaking of empty calories, my ninth most popular Countdown to Halloween post is "Monster Cereal Taste-Off," wherein I consume bowls of Boo Berry, Franken Berry, and Count Chocula, and discover that eating this stuff as an adult doesn't quite live up to my memories of eating it as a kid.

8. The Hardy Boys and Nancy Drew Meet Dracula (1977)
http://misfitdaydream.blogspot.com/2012/10/the-hardy-boys-and-nancy-drew-meet.html
"Who wants Alpo?"
Frank and Joe Hardy travel to Europe to look for their missing father, and find themselves going undercover as rock singers performing at The Castle Dracula in Transylvania in order to crack the case! This bizarro two-part episode plays a bit like a Hardy Boys feature film, and guest stars Paul Williams as one of the other singers at the concert, who performs songs from The Phantom of the Paradise.  It also has Elton John's songwriting partner Bernie Taupin acting as another rock singer, and finally features a very special guest appearance by Lorne Greene as Dracula.  That's right.  LORNE GREENE.

7. The Bride of Frankenstein (1935) - 62 Screencaps
http://misfitdaydream.blogspot.com/2012/10/the-bride-of-frankenstein-1935-62.html

I think this was initially conceived as a "time-saving" post (kind of like this one).  I had a bunch of screencaps left over after I finished my review of The Bride of Frankenstein, so I decided to upload them in their own post.  Lo and Behold several years later, this post that I spent a few minutes on gets about 10 times as much traffic as the one I spent hours writing and rewriting.

6. Saturn 3 (1980)
http://misfitdaydream.blogspot.com/2012/10/saturn-3-1980.html
Kirk Douglas: Master Thespian
Saturn 3 was a sci-fi horror movie that seemed to be inspired by Alien, but with a killer robot instead of the Xenomorph.  I'd like to think the reason this post is so popular is because of the great review I wrote for it, but the search keywords that send visitors to this page are primarily from people searching for "Harvey Keitel Nude," "Kirk Douglas Nude," and "Naked Men Wrestling."

5. Frankenstein (1931)
http://misfitdaydream.blogspot.com/2012/10/frankenstein-1931.html

Frankenstein's Monster is my all-time favorite movie monster, so I'm glad to see that my review of this film is popular enough to make number 5.  And no, it's not from people searching for "Naked Frankenstein Wrestling."

4.  The Ghost in the Invisible Bikini (1966)
http://misfitdaydream.blogspot.com/2012/10/the-ghost-in-invisible-bikini-1966.html

Number 4 on my list belongs to "The Ghost in the Invisible Bikini," the last film of AIP's "Beach Party" series.  At this point the Beach Party formula was getting pretty stale, and they had lost the stars of the previous films, Frankie Avalon and Annette Funicello, so the producers decided to shake things up by changing locations from the beach to a haunted house.  The result was a hybrid horror/teen musical/comedy flick that is pretty dumb, but still fairly entertaining.  Similar to "Saturn 3" the popularity of this review seems to come as much from people searching for pictures of "Naked Ghosts" as it does from people who are actually interested in the movie.

3. Jimmy Olsen is a Sweet Transvestite
http://misfitdaydream.blogspot.com/2013/10/countdown-to-halloween-2013-jimmy.html
Jimmy Olsen Dressed as a Woman While Getting His Face Licked by a Great Dane
In 2013 I did a series about Jimmy Olsen's greatest costumes and disguises, and this entry about Jimmy's many adventures disguising himself in women's clothing is by far the most popular (number two is "Jimmy Olsen Disguises himself as a Baby Girl").  Many people find it via Google Images after viewing this picture of Jimmy Olsen dressed as a woman while getting his face licked by a Great Dane.  Make of that what you will.

2. Frankentoys: The Top 10 Frankenstein Games and Toys of the 1960s, '70s, and '80s
Part 1 - http://misfitdaydream.blogspot.com/2012/10/frankentoys-top-10-frankenstein-games.html
Part 2 - http://misfitdaydream.blogspot.com/2012/10/frankentoys-top-10-frankenstein-games_19.html
Part 3 - http://misfitdaydream.blogspot.com/2012/10/frankentoys-top-10-frankenstein-games_20.html

A top 10 list within a top 10 list!  I think my brain is going to explode!  Frankentoys is my top 10 list of vintage Frankenstein toys from the 1960s, '70s, and '80s.  These are all toys that were inspired by or feature Frankenstein's Monster, either individually or as part of a line of toys that Frankenstein was a part of.  This is also one of my personal favorite Halloween posts, so I'm glad to see it's popular enough to make it to number 2.

1. Breeders (1986) Oct 19, 2013
http://misfitdaydream.blogspot.com/2013/10/breeders-1986.html
Vagina Face Mutant
Alien rape monsters are on the loose in 1986's Breeders.  Breeders is cheaply made, sleazy trash.   It features amateurish acting, a monster in a cheesy rubber suit, low quality gore effects, and tons of naked women, in a story about alien parasites that rape virgins.  Sometimes, movies like this can be so bad that they are good.  Other times, they can just be boring, offensive, and no fun to watch.  This one has a bit of both... but mostly, it kind of sucks.  If you're curious why a review of this crappy movie can be my most popular Halloween post (it's actually the third most visited post ever on this blog), please reread the description of this movie, then look again at the entries above for "Saturn 3," "The Ghost in the Invisible Bikini," and "Jimmy Olsen is a Sweet Transvestite."  I think a pattern will emerge.

Countdown to Halloween Recap (The Ghosts of Halloween Past, Present, and Future)

COUNTDOWN TO HALLOWEEN
DAY 32 - EVERY DAY IS HALLOWEEN

Did you all go trick or treating last night?  If you're like me, you gorged yourself on candy and are now feeling slightly sick.  But that's okay, it was worth it!  Thanks to the Countdown to Halloween, I've seen a huge spike in the number of visits to this blog.  I've had almost 5 times as many page views for October 2012 than I've had for any other month.  I'd like to say thanks again to all of my new readers.  This is going to be my final post for the Countdown to Halloween 2012, where I recap what I posted about all month, and preview what's coming up this month and beyond.

THE RECAP
I had a few different "categories" that I posted under this month.  They were "Halloween 1966," "Karloff the Uncanny," "Horror in Space," and "The Haunted Toybox."  Basically, though, I posted three things; toy reviews, movie reviews, and music compilations.  My most popular posts were the Frankenstein ones, with my review of the movie Frankenstein being the most viewed post this month, and the first part of my Frankentoys list coming in at number two.

SPOOKY MUSIC
I published four volumes of my "Halloween 1966" music compilation, featuring music and sound clips from 1966.  These are only going to be online for a limited time only, so if you want to listen to them, do it soon.  Otherwise, you'll have to wait till next Halloween.

CREEPY TOYS
I reviewed several modern day Frankenstein, The Bride of Frankenstein, and the Mummy action figures.  I also posted a three part series, "Frankentoys," about my favorite vintage Frankenstein toys.

SCARY MOVIES
I wrote reviews and took screencaps for a bunch of movies this month.  My most popular movie posts this month were for Frankenstein and Son of Frankenstein, although my personal favorites, just because they were the most fun to write, were Saturn 3 and The Hardy Boys and Nancy Drew Meet Dracula.

OTHER STUFF
I also posted Monster Cereal Taste-Off: a review of Count Chocula, Boo Berry, and Franken Berry cereals, and I wrote a list of my favorite Countdown to Halloween posts from other sites.

THE COUNTDOWN THAT NEVER WAS, AND WHAT'S NEXT ON MISFIT ROBOT DAYDREAM
When I started the Countdown to Halloween, I wasn't sure how I was going to come up with enough content make a new post every day for 31 days straight, but somehow I pulled it off.  In fact, there were a bunch of things that I had planned on writing about this month that I didn't end up having time to do.  I had planned on doing a series of posts on Saturday Morning Cartoon Horror, and I probably will still do that, although I'm not sure when.  I also had couple of Jimmy Olsen posts planned for October: "The Top 10 Monster Transformations of Jimmy Olsen," and "The Top 10 Disguises of Jimmy Olsen."   I'm still working on those, but it turned out that sorting through over a hundred back issues of Jimmy Olsen comics was a pretty time consuming research project, I've made it through the first 70 so far.  So those are still coming, hopefully later this month.  I also still have more movies to review in my "Horror in Space" series.  Those reviews should be coming up soon, in the next week or two.

Posting every day for the Countdown to Halloween was great, but I can't keep up that pace all the time.  So I'm going to take the next few days off, and I'll be back on Monday, with about 3 to 5 new posts a week instead of 7.  If you enjoyed the stuff I posted this month, I'll be continuing to write about classic and cult horror movies and toys, but with the Countdown over, I'll be expanding into Sci-Fi and other types of cult cinema and pop culture stuff as well.

Thanks for reading.  Hope to have you back on Monday,
Joshua the Atomic Robot

Countdown to Halloween: Week 4

COUNTDOWN TO HALLOWEEN 2012
DAY 28 - 3 DAYS TILL HALLOWEEN
Welcome to the end of week 4 Misfit Robot Daydream's Countdown to Halloween!  I hope you've been enjoying what you've read so far.  This has been the craziest week yet for me, as far as getting up a brand new post every day, but so far I've done it, even if a few of them were posted a lot later in the day then I would have liked.  It's been worth it, though, as I've been having a lot of fun, and getting a ton of new readers.  I've already gotten more than three times as many page views this month then any other month I've had this blog, and I'm on track to have four times as many by the time this month is over.  Thanks for reading this junk!

Now I'm going to recap what I wrote about this week, then I'm going to give a preview of what's coming up for the rest of the month.  Finally, I'm going to be embedding some videos at the end of the page, including tonight's feature presentation: Gammera The Invincible.

The Past Week of Misfit Robot Daydream
My first three weeks each had a theme.  Week 1 was "Horror in Space."  Week 2 was "Karloff the Uncanny."  Week 3 was "The Haunted Toybox."  Also, every Wednesday I took a break from that week's theme to post the latest installment of my "Halloween 1966" music compilation.  This week, I mixed things up, and had a little bit from each of those categories.
Horror in Space
On Monday, I posted my latest installment of "Horror In Space" movie reviews with my review of 1981's "Saturn 3."

The Haunted Toybox
On Thursday and Saturday, I reviewed two The Bride of Frankenstein action figures, one that was released last year from Diamond Select, and one released in 1999 by Sideshow Toys.

Hallowen 1966
On Tuesday, I reviewed the 1966 comedy horror movie "The Ghost and Mr. Chicken."  On Friday, I reviewed the 1966 comedy horror movie "The Ghost in the Invisible Bikini."  On Wednesday, I released the final volume of my Halloween 1966 music compliation, "Creeps and Spooks."

Next Week on Misfit Robot Daydream
Only three more days left of October!  Jeepers!  I'm not even close to doing all the stuff I had planned for this month.  Tomorrow, I'll be reviewing the "Monster Cereals:" Boo Berry, Franken Berry, and Count Chocula, in a post titled "Monster Cereal Taste-Off!"  So that only gives me two more days to post, like, a dozen movie reviews, a handful of toy reviews, and a couple of articles I planned on writing about Jimmy Olsen's disguise and monster transformations. Since I still plan on doing all that stuff, it looks like Halloween will be running a little long this year. :)

And Now, For Our Feature Presentation
I'm ending this post with the trailers for the movies I reviewed this week.  Then we have the full length feature film, "Gammera The Invincible."  This was heavily edited and redubbed for American theaters. Enjoy!

Surviving the Trumpocalypse: Pop Culture Junk I'm Excited About in 2017

2016 was kind of a rough year for me.  In the pop culture landscape, the year began with the death of David Bowie, my favorite solo musical artist of all time, and ended with the death of Carrie Fisher, who played Princess Leia in the Star Wars films, and since I was (and am) a total Star Wars Kid, that hit me really hard.  In between, we saw the deaths of scores of other pop culture icons, such as Prince, and Muhammad Ali, and so many others.  Was it the worst year for "celebrity deaths" ever?  Technically, probably not, but it sure felt like it.  I also lost several family members in real life, which was an even more devastating loss for me personally.

Then there was the election of Donald Trump.  I don't want to get derailed into a political discussion, but let's just say that I think he's an evil scumbag, and leave it at that.  When I voted that Tuesday morning, all the polls and news sources we're predicting a win for Hilary Clinton and I was filled with optimism for the future.  When I turned the TV off late that night, Donald Trump was the President-elect, and I was filled with despair, and I pretty much spent the the rest of 2016 in a dark place.

But now 2016 is over, and as we stand on the onset of Donald Trump's presidency, I'm desperately trying to find something to look forward to in 2017.  So here it is, my list of "Pop Culture Junk I'm Excited About in 2017!"

TWIN PEAKS  My favorite TV show of all-time is coming back after a quarter of a century!  A quarter of a century?  Jiminy Christmas, has it been that long?  Twin Peaks originally aired in 1990 and 1991, so yep.  Wow, I am getting OLD.  Still, gotta love the '90s.  Anyhoo, the series is coming back as a miniseries on Showtime this May, along with most of the original cast.  Every episode will be written by series co-creators David Lynch and Mark Frost, and every episode will be directed by David Lynch.  They filmed the entire series all at once, from one continuous script, like it was one long epic length movie.  Then they are going to take all of that footage and edit it down into 18 hour-long individual episodes.  It seems like a crazy way to film a series, but David Lynch is a genius, and giving him free reign to create a TV series like this -- unconstrained from the commercial considerations of broadcast TV -- is a really exciting prospect, and I can't wait to see what he comes up with.

As a toy collector, I was also excited to learn that Funko will be coming out with a line of Twin Peaks action figures this year.  They haven't announced the details yet.  They could be 6" figures or 3 3/4" figures, or maybe even something else, but any way, I'm all in.  This is one of those properties that I've wanted action figures of forever (or at least, a quarter of a century).  In addition to action figures, they will also be making Twin Peaks Pops and Rock Candy vinyl figures as well.  So, it's a pretty awesome time to be a toy collector and a Twin Peaks fan.

ROCK AND ROLL  The Jesus and Mary Chain are returning with their first album in almost 20 years.  "Damage and Joy" is scheduled to be released on March 25, 2017.  The Jesus and Mary Chain are one of my all-time favorite bands, and I'm really stoked to hear new music from them.  I saw them in concert in 1990 at the Universal Ampitheatre in Los Angeles.  The opening act was Nine Inch Nails who were still a new band promoting their first album, "Pretty Hate Machine." I remember telling my friends that I thought the Nine Inch Nails band was pretty good, but I thought they might need to replace their lead singer.  That lead singer of course, being Trent Reznor, the creative force behind Nine Inch Nails.  My bad.

Hey! Nine Inch Nails also have a new album coming out this year!  Other old favorites of mine with new albums this year include The Flaming Lips, At the Drive-In, Grandaddy, The Stone Roses and Gorillaz.  Woo-hoo, bring back the 1990s!

MOVIE FAVORITES REVISITED
Many of my favorite movies are getting sequels this year.  Topping my list of most anticipated sequels:  BLADE RUNNER 2049.  Harrison Ford returns as Rick Deckard in a sequel to one of the greatest sci-fi movies of all-time, Ridley Scott's Blade Runner.  Ridley Scott is not directing this himself, but he is producing the film which has a script cowritten by one of the original Blade Runner screenwriters Hampton Fancher.

Ridley Scott, meanwhile well be releasing a prequel to his other great science fiction film Alien, entitled ALIEN: COVENANT.  This is Scott's second Alien prequel, and follows the events from the film Prometheus.  Prometheus received a bit of a mixed reception from some people.  I loved it, but a lot of people were expecting something scarier and closer in tone to the original film Alien.  However, word is that Alien: Covenant will be a scarier film, much closer the original.  Either way, as a big fan of both films, I am really looking forward to this.

Another sequel to one of all-time favorites is coming with STAR WARS: EPISODE VIII.  The previous sequel Star Wars: The Force Awakens was a lot of fun, but was also really derivative of the previous films.  Hopefully this film will keep the spirit of the originals while also taking the franchise in a fresh direction.  The film has a really cool director in Rian Johnson who probably has what it takes to do just that.  The film will see the proper return of Mark Hamill as Luke Skywalker, whose appearance in The Force Awakens was basically just a cameo.  It will also sadly give us Carrie Fisher's final film performance as Leia, which she had completed filming before her death.

Also coming this year, a sequel that is not a superhero, sci-fi, or monster movie, but I'm still super excited about: T2: TRAINSPOTTING, the sequel to 1996's Trainspotting.  This was one of my favorite films from the 1990s and I saw it multiple times in the theater.  It was just so visceral, in-your face, with a great soundtrack, and so very much of it's time period.  It just felt so exciting and fresh, and as a young man in my twenties, I felt a real connection to those characters, like they were all my friends (even if they were all heroin junkies).  As a man on the brink of becoming middle aged (I turn 45 this year) it should be fascinating to see what these characters are like as they are hitting the same period in life.  Woo-hoo, bring back the 1990s!  Wait... I think I already said that.

Other favorite characters or films making making returns this year include:
  • War of the Planet of the Apes -  the third film in the current Planet of the Apes reboot series.
  • Logan - Featuring Hugh Jackman's final performance as Wolverine.  The X-Men movies have been kind of hit-and-miss, but Hugh Jackman has always been the highlight of them, even when the surrounding films haven't always been that great.  Here's hoping this one hits all the right notes as Hugh Jackman says goodbye to the character.
  • Ghost in the Shell - adapting one of my favorite anime and manga series to live action.  The original manga and anime were two of my favorites from, you guessed it: the 1990s (I'm sensing a theme here).
  • Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 - The first film was so much fun, really looking forward to part 2.
  • Wonder Woman - So far the DC Comics movie universe has been kind of a dud, but I'm still optimistic about Wonder Woman.  The fact that it's set in World War 1 is a good sign, because it will help to set this film apart from the others, and what I've seen in the trailers so far looks like a lot of fun.  I love Wonder Woman, I grew up with the Lynda Carter TV show, Super Friends cartoons, and reading her adventures in the comics.  It's about time she got her due in the movies.
  • The Mummy - Launching the new interconnected "universe" of films based on the classic Universal Horror films of the 1930s and 1940s.  Those original films were some of my favorite movies of all time.  It will be interesting to see what they do with these characters.  I just hope they focus on mood, atmosphere, and horror they way the classic films did, and don't just turn them into action movies with monsters in them.
  • Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets - This is also a comic book adaptation, albeit from a comic I've never read, so there is no nostalgia factor at play for me here, like there is with most of these other films.  But it's directed by Luc Besson, who looks to be in full-on "The Fifth Element" mode with this one, so it's a must-see.

VIDEO GAMES
Red Dead Redemption 2
Watching "Westworld" on HBO was already giving me a hankering to go back and play one of my favorite games: the original Red Dead Redemption, and then Rockstar Games announced that Red Dead Redemption 2 would be coming in 2017.  They timed that one just right to stoke my anticipation.

Mass Effect: Andromeda
The latest Mass Effect game is another thing to get excited for, as that is another one of my favorite game series.

ACTION FIGURES

THE OUTER SPACE MEN
The Outer Space Men returned last year after several years hiatus, and while I was glad the line was back, the figures were all repaints or glow-in-the-dark variants of the previously released figures.  But it was recently announced that the line will continue in 2017 with four new characters.  First up will be Astrodite, the Space Woman from Venus.  Sketches and prototypes of this character have been around for several years, and now this character will finally be released, with three more new characters to follow.

FUNKO - BATMAN '66 and SATURDAY MORNING CARTOONS
I previously mentioned that Funko will be producing Twin Peaks action figures, but those aren't the only new figures they have coming that I'm excited about. They recently revealed that they will be making new DC Comics action figures including figures from Batman '66 with what they describe as a "bunch of villains!!"  Like the Twin Peaks figures, there was no mention of what scale these figures will be in.  I'm hoping they'll be in the same 3 3/4" scale they are using for their current line of DC Suicide Squad figures. They also mentioned a line of Saturday Morning Cartoons action figures.  No mention of which cartoons, but as a kid who grew up perched in front of my TV with a bowl of cereal every Saturday morning, I'm intrigued.

A fair bit of warning here, though.  Funko has a habit of occasionally announcing figures that for various reasons never end up getting made.  So maybe we shouldn't get too excited about these things until we actually see them for sale.

NEW TV
There are a ton of other TV shows coming out... too many to mention them all, but including the relaunched version of Mystery Science Theater 3000.  New shows like Altered Carbon, The Deuce, Legion, American Gods, Iron Fist, The Defenders, The Punisher, and Star Trek: Discovery.  And new seasons of Colony, Homeland, The 100, The Expanse, Bates Motel, The Americans, Stranger Things, and Fargo.

Well, that's some of the Pop Culture Junk that I'm excited about this year.  How about you?  Please write a letter to your local senator or congressperson and let them know what you are excited about.  Or let Donald Trump know by contacting him on Twitter!
