Atomic Robot's Freedom Force Gallery: Pop Culture Skins

This post originally appeared, in a somewhat different format, on my old website, "Atomic Robot's Freedom Force Gallery" at www.geocities.com/robotatomic.  That website is now offline, although an archived version of it is available at http://www.oocities.org/robotatomic/index.html.  Much of the information is now out of date, and many of the links may be inactive, but I'm keeping it online here for posterity's sake.
Atomic Robot's Freedom Force Gallery
Atomic Robot's Pop Culture Skins
Featuring skins inspired by television shows, movies, and various other aspects of pop culture.

Muhammad Ali

Float like a butterfly, sting like a bee! It's the Greatest of All Time -- Muhammad Ali! For the male_basic mesh.

Bettie Page 1

Legendary 1950's cheesecake model and pop culture icon Bettie Page, playfully naughty in her leather and lace undergarments. For the female_longhair mesh.

Bettie Page 2

Legendary 1950's cheesecake model and pop culture icon Bettie Page, having some fun-in-the-sun in her jungle-print bikini. For the female_longhair mesh.

Humphrey Bogart / PV_Tuxedo_Atomic

A hex edited mesh of Texas Jack's Pulp_Versatile_Suit featuring a standard skin of Humphrey Bogart as Rick from the film Casablanca.

Humphrey Bogart

Humphrey Bogart in a trench coat and hat, for my PV_Detective_Atomic hexed mesh.

Humphrey Bogart / PV_Captain_Atomic

A hex edited mesh of Texas Jack's Pulp_Versatile_Suit featuring a standard skin of Humphrey Bogart from the film To Have and Have Not.

Clint Eastwood as Dirty Harry

Clint Eastwood as Dirty Harry for the 'Clint' mesh. The Clint mesh is the one used for Bullet when he is in his civillian clothes. The animations aren't really appropriate for Dirty Harry, but I could not resist skinning it for this mesh anyway, what with it being Clint's namesake and all.

NEW SKIN! '68 Comeback Elvis

Elvis in a leather jumpsuit based on the one he wore in his famous 1968 Comeback Special, for Irrational's Clint mesh. This skin has actually been up for awhile, I just forgot to write about it here.

Bela Lugosi as Dracula

Dracula, the Immortal Prince of Darkness, as portrayed by the legendary Bela Lugosi. For the male_suit mesh.

Clint Eastwood as Dirty Harry

Clint Eastwood as Dirty Harry for the male_suit mesh. This is an alternate version of the skin I made as the standard skin for Interceptor's male_suit_guns mesh

Elvis Presley

A 1950's Rockabilly style Elvis Presley skin, for Irrational's Clint mesh.

Barry Williams as Greg Brady

Groovy, man! It's Greg Brady, the swingin' star of TV's "Brady Bunch!" Far out! Whether he's surfin' some waves, picking up some chicks, or playing his guitar... nobody does "teenage groovy" quite like he does! Download him today! For the male_suit mesh.

President John Fitzgerald Kennedy

JFK -- the President of the Silver Age. In classic DC comics from the 1960's, JFK was one of the few people to know of Superman's secret identity as Clark Kent, since as Superman was heard to say, "If I can't trust the President of the United States, who CAN I trust?" For the male_suit mesh.

Larry Wilcox as Officer Jon Baker

When you're looking for wholesome, All-American law and order enforcement on the California highways, you need look no further than Officer Jon Baker, the level-headed motorcycle cop from the TV show 'CHiPs.' For the male_belt mesh.

NEW SKIN/MESH! White Jumpsuit Elvis

A 1970's Vegas-Era Elvis Presley mesh and skin. Mesh hex edited from Texas Jack's Pulp_Versatile.

Boris Karloff as Frankenstein's Monster

Karloff the Uncanny, in one of his greatest roles, as the Creature, the mad creation of Baron Von Frankenstein. For Beardedinlair's Frankenstein mesh.

Don Knotts

Whether you love him best as Barney Fife, Mr. Furley, Mr. Limpett, The Love God, The Reluctant Astronaut, or any of his other classic characters, you'll have to agree: Nobody embodies MANLINESS and VIRILITY quite like Don Knotts. Every man wants to be him. Every woman wants to make love to him. Don Knotts -- He taught us what it means to be a man. For the male_suit mesh.

Maureen McCormick as Marcia Brady

Marcia Brady from TV's The Brady Bunch. She's built on the female_longhair mesh, so her outfit's too tight and her hair's not right, but I felt that my Greg Brady skin needed someone to play with so I made her anyway.

Fred Gwynne as Herman Munster

Fred Gwynne as Herman Munster from the 1960's The Munsters TV series. Yeah, I know... it doesn't look that great. Sorry dude, I tried.

Pee Wee Herman

Pee Wee says, "Let's pretend we're superheroes! Ha-ha!" Pretending can be lots of fun. For the male_suit mesh.

Erik Estrada as Officer Frank 'Ponch' Poncherello

From the TV show 'CHiPs' -- it's everybody's favorite motorcycle cop -- the disco dancing, swinging bachelor himself -- Ponch! For the male_belt mesh.

NEW SKIN! Mr. T

Quit yo' jibba-jabba! Download this skin now, sucka! It's Mr. T, for the Artist Formerly Known as Bobby69's Male_Heavy_Mohawk69 mesh.

Atomic Robot's Freedom Force Gallery: Update: More Fun with Elvis

This post originally appeared, in a somewhat different format, on my old website, "Atomic Robot's Freedom Force Gallery" at www.geocities.com/robotatomic.  That website is now offline, although an archived version of it is available at http://www.oocities.org/robotatomic/index.html.  Much of the information is now out of date, and many of the links may be inactive, but I'm keeping it online here for posterity's sake.

Update: July 5, 2004
More Fun with Elvis

On July 5th, 1954, Elvis Presley recorded his first single, a cover of Arthur Cruddup's That's All Right. This recording is currently being hyped as The Birth of Rock 'N Roll, although I think Chuck Berry, Bo Diddley, Little Richard, Bill Haley, and a bunch of other cats who had been doing it for years might disagree. Still, it's a huge landmark in the history of Rock 'N Roll, by any standard... and what better way to celebrate it than by playing video games?!?! There is none, I tells you! None!! Bu-wah-hah-hah-ha!!! Foolish humans!

So's, anyhoo... here's a couple of nifty new Elvis Presleys you can download to play in Freedom Force.

First up, I got another Elvis skin for the Clint mesh. It's Elvis in a leather jumpsuit, based on the one he wore in his famous '68 Comeback special. This has actually been up on my Yahoo group for a while, but I don't think I ever got around to announcing it.

Next, I've hex-edited the Pulp Versatile mesh to make Elvis in one of his 1970's Vegas-Era White Jumpsuits. It comes complete with ridiculous protruding sideburns. Enjoy.
Oh, and my original 1950's Rockabilly Elvis skin for the Clint mesh is still available to download as well, for those of you silly enough to not get it yet (foolish, foolish humans).

These are all available from my second yahoo group.

Elvis Presley

One new skin, a 1950's Rockabilly style Elvis Presley for Irrational's 'Clint' mesh. The Clint mesh is the one used for the character 'Bullet' when he's out of costume, and can be found in the Freedom Force 'art.ff' folder. There are more details about this mesh in the text file that comes with my skin if you need them.

This skin is available from my second yahoo group.

Update: January 16, 2004
New Superman Stuff

I've got a few variations of versatile meshes, as well as updated versions of my Superman Family skins.

First up is PV_Kent_Atomic, a variation of the Pulp Versatile Suit mesh with a hat, glasses, and a standard skin of Clark Kent.

Then I've got FV_Supergirl_Atomic, a variation of the Female Versatile mesh with a lengthened skirt, shortened cape, and a standard skin of the silver age Supergirl.

The last mesh is PV_Luthor_Atomic, a variation of the Pulp Versatile mesh that comes with two skins of Lex Luthor. This mesh has a science fiction style gun, and a glowing "kryptonite" wand.
Finally, I've updated all of my Superman skins to larger, higher-resolution sizes. I've also made some tweaks and changes to some of these skins, the most signifigant being Brainiac who now has a new face and belt. All of my Superman skins are available from my first yahoo group.

Play it Again, Sam

I've made three versions of Humprey Bogart for the Pulp Versatile mesh. Preview them in my Pop Culture section. There's one version in a tuxedo, one in a trenchcoat and hat, and one in a sea captain's hat. These are all up in my second yahoo group. For a limited time, they will also be available from my first yahoo group, to make it easier for everyone who wants one to get a copy.
